Half a tank of 91 And half a tank of E85?

So i was out cruisin with my buddy the other night in his S4 and he had to stop and get gas. He pulled up to an E85 pump and put half a tank of 91 in and then half a tank of E85. I was like dude WTF are you doing, and he said that he has done it a few times now and it works great. He hasnt had any problems with it. Anybody know if this would be ok to do in the gtp? Im tempted to try it.

If you tune for it it would work ok. If your injectors do not max out.

He isnt tuned for it and has stock injectors. Im guessing he is running a little lean right

a little lean on high octane, which is fine in most cases.
