Had a boo boo and now my dash is cracked..

So i've had my car for about 2 years now and ive done everything I can to keep the dash from cracking since 4/5 of our gp's have had that problem. and up to this point i have been lucky but i have had a leak coming from what i thought was the sunroof. turned out that was rust around the windshield... as a buddy of mine that works at a windshield company is doing the repair for free the tool hes using falls on my dash and f*cks it up! :th_angry-censored:

so, do i try one of those repair kits, replace the whole dash pad, or put a dross looking cover on it?
anyone know how the repair kits work or if they hold up at all?
 


The crack is on the passenger airbag. so I was wondering if i could just replace the airbag, or the pad off of the airbag. Anyone know if this is a major job?
 
I havent ever done it my self but I have heard of it being done.
You have to remove the dash and then remove the airbag panel to replace it.

btw this is 97-03 models im not sure what year gp you have.
