So i went on a drive today and found a nice open road and decided to open up my grand prix gt today got to about 90you then let off and exited on the highway when i noticed my temp gauge was a little to high for coasting (210) so i kept a steady pace and the temp gauge started climbing more at this point i decided to pull over and now the gauge was almost at red i shut the car off immediately and popped the hood to find coolant all over the place. My first reaction was blown headgasket but i wasnt quite sure yet ao i called a friend of mine to bring me some water to pour in the radiator so i pour the water in to find it rushing out of where the upper coolant elbo should be. Somehow if flew off somewhere so i ended having my friend tow strap my car to walmart where i replaced the coolant elbo in the parking lot lol. Man what a day

At least it was an obvious problem you were able to fix it yourself.

I did almost the same thing a couple months ago. Took it up around 90 like you said, then about a mile later it started running really rough. I limped it to a friends house that has HPT and scanned it. We looked it over but it was 1 AM and we were tired so we didn't get anywhere. Two miles down the road while trying to limp it home it died. It turned out that the T-fitting on the vacuum line under the supercharger snout blew initially, then on my way home, the MAF decided to take a dump.
