"Gypsy" The White Raven Build Thread

I recently got a ZZP downpipe w/hi flo cat, Cherry Bomb 26" glasspack to replace the resonator, and two Cherry Bomb Vortex mufflers for out back, finished off with stainless twin outlet 3.5 tips. Pics and sound clip to come!

I also grabbed a SLP rear spoiler, a set of 40th roof rails, and a Lund single hood scoop that I'm considering mounting backward T/A style

No stick on hood scoop, what is this 2005?

I'd save up for an entire hood instead of the scoop if you can. Then again I know $600-$900 for a complete hood incl. paint can be hard to eat. Looking good so far though!

Unfortunately, I've had this discussion before but its simply point of view. Number one, I did the full fiberglass hood on my 2001 GP and it was an expensive PITA. Paint and fit were costly, not to mention the hood itself, and a year later it started cracking near the hood hinges. I bought the hood from American Muscle so I assumed it was a quality piece but I've heard similar stories from other owners. Number Two, every single factory hood scoop option for the GP and many other factory models are add-on pieces not molded in. Yes, some are functional but many others are not. Personally, I think a tastefully chosen, paint-matched hood treatment can look just fine, and if that doesn't meet other standards, I'm sorry but there is NO way I'm spending another $600-$1000 for a hood just to have a scoop treatment that means nothing to a fenderwell intake to begin with. Poop on it all you like, but I don't like all black wheels either. If you want them on your ride, your choice. I'm not going to call you wrong for doing what you want to your own car. I don't mean to sound harsh or flaming, but I find it amazing sometimes how the mere mention of an add-on scoop automatically means junk. Yes, you can do it cheap and crappy or you can choose tastefully and paint to match. I don't see a problem with that.

I might also add...why does no one freak out over a bolt-on/stick-on rear spoiler?
