GXP Vs M3

went up against a 00-01ish m3 on saturday and was honestly thinking he was gonna hand it to me but i came out ahead, MI members, i ran him from M-59 at van dyke to about Ryan. he had me off the line by 1 length but i kept up with him and started to close the gap quick, by 115 i was ahead of him by a length and we kept goin till 145 and he was still right on me, fun run, neither one of us wanted to let off, i would call this one a tie
 


2001 M3 runs low 13's in the 1/4 with high 4 second 0-60.

A GXP runs low 14's in the 1/4 with a mid 5 second 0-60.

You tell me who wins.
 
Your GXP stock or modded. Sure it wasn't a straight 3 series? Not throwing a BS flag or nothing, but M3's give me a hard time, and I have a youtube video of what I did to a nearly stock GXP (and it wasn't pretty)
 


I seriously think a new 1 series with the TT straight six would rape a GXP let alone a M3 vs. GXP just saying.

Minor mods and the TT 1 series will rape a E46.

I remember that.

Facts own him again. He reminds me of a guy that used to post on the 3/s (3000GT/Stealth) forums. Would claim beating much faster cars in his NA all the time. He eventually left the forums because he said we were too mean for calling him on is bullsh!t
 


How can you ask is it stock when he says he went up to 145? What's the shut off for the GXP? Betting it is before 145.........., but I could be wrong.

I think its the fact that a 2001 M3 has 333HP stock, GXP is like 303HP stock. If he had mods for the extra 30HP, they would have been listed.

OK OP, list your mods in detail. They'll be picked apart and maybe then, maybe, we'll believe you.

And racing to 145Mph outside of a track is stupid.
And they didn't make M3s in 2000.

when i talked to him after we were done he said it was 240 HP, and yes i am stock, and we went at it for about a mile maybe a mile and a half, he had me in the first 1/4 but after that is where i got ahead of him

this kinda makes sense now.thanks for clarifying.both cars are similar in terms of times and trap speed.top end the gxp should take it
 
BTW i love how all of you guys with gt's and gtps like to talk **** about people with gxp's i think your all just jealous because you dont have a real performance car but i could be wrong i mean whats the point of buying a car and having to dump a bunch of money into it to so that it barely competes with other cars that are much nice and faster, where as i and other gxp owners right out the factory have a nice true performance vehicle with out needing to do too much too it, and i still say f*ck you all because when im done with the gxp i should be pushing about 375 at the wheels, and thats just for my daily driver, my project camaro that i'm building will run about 750 to the wheels with nitrous and about 500 w/o
