Gun Drilled Output shaft

Needing opnions on the gun drilled output shaft, looking at getting one wondering if its worth it or not? Its running me about $175. and that could go towards other go fast parts

I talked to Dave at one point. Another Bonneville friend Tommy Glover had one shatter on him.

Of all the big builds I've seen, worked on and dealt with...not one had a problem with the stock output shaft. I abused the crap out of mine and it shows no signs of any issues at all.

Um?? Ok I've tried to search Gun Drilled output shaft. Couldn't find anything thing on GPF. Not too many people know what a gun drill is. (in my experience anyway). But the only thing a gundrill does is put a long hole in a part. THAT'S IT. nothing special. So does removing material from a shaft make it stronger???? Link to this gun drilled shaft??? I can have an Engineer buddy take a look...

Removing material on the I'd removes weight, it does not add strength. Removing material on I'd makes the part slightly weaker.

Id rather break a stock one that is easily removable then break an aftermarket one that explodes.
