I got in my car a few days ago, and I had no hvac fan at all. Doesn't work on low, doesn't work on high. Checked all the fuses, they're all good. It's was making a squeaking noise for a while. So I'm guessing the motors gone bad? Is that right? I just wanted to make sure before I spent the money on it. Should he easy to change, it's only a few screws right? It's a 00 gp gt.

sounds like it, real easy under pas side of dash, pull kick pad off and its 3 5.5mm? screws, unplug wires and it should fall out.

Blower motor or blower motor resistor.
Relatively easy, hardest part is just getting in there, kind of an awkward area to try and work.

The 'three screws' is a little more than just taking three screws out they're kind of a pain to get at, and to get back in.. Buy not all that bad.

Definitely blower motor. If it were the resistor he would have a totally different problem of it not shutting off with the car and only working on high. Easy enough to change, just a bit of a hassle to hold it in place and start the new screws.

Well my sisters grand prix had exactly the issue he described. I replaced the resistor, and it works flawlessly now.
I'm not saying it has to be, but one or the other.
