GTP vs C6 Z-51

I was going to a buddy's house when a yellow C6 came up to the red light beside me. When the light changed green I noticed he took off easy then laid into it and I did also and I gained half car on him then shifted into second and I pulled a car out of him all the way to 120mph. He gave me thumbs up and headed toward the air force base.
 


my mods are XP cam,3.2 pulley, 3"DP, Ported blower and intake, and FWI, autolite 103's, 180*, 3' exhaust with cutout the motor was just rebuilt on last thursday. And some head work also.
 
have you been out to the track?? also do you know the year?? some had the ls2 some have the ls3. tdc's xp cam 2.8 pulley fullsize intercooler headers traped 108 in the 1/4. z-r1's are the lighter c6 vettes. and depending on what year it is can trap 115 or so. top end is crazy. the guy needed the driver mod if you pulled him like that up top
 


maybe it was only a c5? think thats what my dad's vette is considered. and from what i've heard c6's are a good bit quicker then the c5
 
I'm calling BS until further proof. I'm willing to be convinced and eat my words later, but for now it sounds rather far fetched.

they are but it kinda depends. 05-07 c6's have the ls2 which in the c5 was the zo6 motor. 08+ have ls3 and yes they are a good bit faster. so either way your atleast racing a c5 z06. the ls3's have been know to go 11's

see i dont get this, why call bs? i dont think anybody would take the time to make up a story and post it in the kill section. how is he going to prove it? either you believe him or you dont. yeah maybe the corvette was in the wrong gear or maybe he wasnt wot, but how is the op suppose to know that? he knows it was a vette, and he knows he beat it by a car. sorry to rant but it irritates me that people call bs when the op just posted his side of the story.

Well, there are plenty of people who lie buddy... Sorry to burst your "perfect" bubble. I am also calling BS, why do people lie at all? Think about it, to get out of a situation or in either one OR to seem cool in some way. I am thinking the latter, it isn't hard to think up a story and then post it... If he knows how to type you could do it in 30 seconds.
 
I say it's hard to tell. Maybe the vette guy didn't know how to drive it and wasn't in thee right gear. Maybe he let him win. Who knows. A kill is a kill. I believe the vette should have worn him out. Maybe it was all luck. As always being said, anything can happen on the street.

well if its an obvious bs such as a zo6 vs stock gp then yeah something is up. either he was playing or the vette was in 5th or something. but i dont see the two cars in the op being that far fetched. i just dont see how you are credible calling bs when you werent there. idk maybe i'm gullable
