• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

New to the forum just recently got a gtp upgraded from my gt, anyways I got a build wishlist so ta say so I know how much to save and right now I'm kind of stuck on heads I've read through a lot of builds it looks like thrasher heads are really good but I can't find any zzp is sold out of there cnc heads and only have $2500 aluminum heads which is alright if it's the only thing left but if not what else is still out there price doesn't bother me a whole lot because I want to just build it right the first time and never touch it again except for maintenance so any suggestions what's the best bang for the buck heads and where do I get them, on the other end of things would I be better off just getting bigger valves for mine and trying to find somewhere to port & polish them (in Texas if you got any suggestions) thanks for reading!

Just port/polish and clean up the stock heads and be done with it. You'd just be wasting your money if you bought heads that cost as much as the car is worth and you aren't trying to make 600hp.

There is a enough to gain from working the stock heads to save yourself a possible $2,000+ chunk of money.

Zzp has some nicely ported iron heads. Stage 3 and 4.

I'm all for porting the heads yourself, but they are worth every penny zzp sells them for. It's a lot of work and money to get them where they are.

Intense used to have a good port job, but there quality wasn't very good last I checked.

Well I got to looking and thus looked like a really unresponsive section so I tried somewhere else haha coming from stupid honda forums your "salty"ness is like kindness this place is so much more helpful thanks for the responses but right now zzp has cnc (sold out) reconditioned (stock) and aluminum ($2500) I don't see any stage heads am I looking at something wrong or have you visited the site recently?

the salty is because i was a mod here not to long ago. and your thread would have been merged already.

most site list a stage 1, 2 or 3 porting job, each number being a higher flowing port job.

or you could always do a diy port job for about 100 in tools. what i did.
