Ive been searching for the past 4 hours on a how-to or just information about this swap. Maybe someone can help me.
I have a 1997 GP GT with 151,000 miles on the n/a 3.8. Im in the military and the car sat for 2 months and when I started it up, the engine started knocking with metal shavings in the oil. I found a 98 gtp motor 80,000 miles, trans, pcm, and wiring harness for $500. Are there any complete write-ups on this? or should I just piece together the swap from BillBoosts37? Also can can I use the GTP pcm? Do I have to get the VIN changed on it or mess with that PassLock stuff?
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
