gt shifter assembly in a gtp

I have a few cosmetic issues with my shifter on my gtp that are an eyesore (some melted plastic on the gear shifter display and the shift lock button is broke off). I found a new oem shifter assembly (the whole rectangle shape assembly with the shifter display/trim, shift knob and boot) for a great deal but it does not have the performance button. My shift knob with the button is still fine can I get the new shifter assembly and just swap my shift knob over and also is there any other differences between the two assemblies?
