• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hey Guys, I just wanted to bring up the fact that I am currently restoring a 97 GTP coupe. Picked this beast up for 500 bucks with a little bit of front end damage and just under 130xxx on the odometer. radiator and A/C condensor are ****, but im currently swapping over the parts from my 02 se sedan. I plan on building this car to 300-350 fwhp on the supercharged setup, then possible turbo swap? Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to upgrade this car correctly (Specific parts you used and liked). Budget is limited for now, but increasing slowly. Thanks!

Turbo kit & tuning that is all
If you are reasonable on the trans it will last, otherwise budget for that immediately

First post... Want to build a rocket ship on limited budget and not sure where you want it to go! Great recipe! Just sayin!

FAST/CHEAP/RELIABLE

you can only have 2 of the 3, so chose wisely!

Read, read and read some more... Save as mentioned and develop a plan. When ready read some more, ask questions then and when you've saved 50% more than you originally planned, put it all together! : )

Welcome aboard by the way! Lol

Beef up your trans and replace everything that needs to be. Beef up your suspension and then save for a turbo kit intercooler, cam, valvetrain, injectors, fuel pump, ect. Once you start you probly wont stop so do it right the first time.

Oh ya and this

Its going to take much more work and money on a blower setup to hit 350whp.

Were talking - Gen V, S2IC, Ported heads, big cam blah blah blah.

Go right for the turbo kit. Everything you need comes with a the Turbo kit. Put it on, get it tuned and enjoy your 350whp with much less of headache and a fuller wallet.

Take a gander:
Turbo Parts & Kits

Your goals on a supercharged setup is having high hopes. By the time you get to that point you could have already gone turbo.
If you want to start supercharged then I'd suggest an intake, Plog, down pipe, 3.2-3.4 S/C pulley, tune, and some spray. That should get you close to your goal without breaking the bank and allow you to transfer most of your parts over for a turbo setup.
