• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I was reading the directions and it was pretty confusing. The instructions tht zzp sent didn't have any picstures soo i really wouldnt know what to do. I would like to tackle it myself, is it difficult to do ? i really wanna do it and its my only means of transportation to school soo i dont wanna screw anything up. I dont think i have a torqe wrench but i think in the intructions it said thats ok.

well when they mention pistons and stuff it kinda confuses me. I just wish there was pictures with the instructions, and if the instructions were a little better to understand.

you check their website man? like i said, i bet jamie at gearhead would do it very reasonable if you didn't wanna tackle it or if you bring it down this weekend maybe we could do it...oh by the way i just got another email from that guy and he said he shipped the ls1m 3 day priority.

Whos website ? Hopefully he can do it cause i can wait if i have to, i dont really wanna screw with it myself if i dont have to. Oh yea i can't wait! It's gonna be our new best friend.

i thought you had said you got it from ZZP, i was gonna suggest seeing if they had anything on their website about the installation of it.

Remove pan
Remove accumulator
Dismantle accumulator
Assemble with new parts
Install in reverse

I kept it short but it's really easy I promose.

Just be careful when reinstalling the hard lines as they should slip in without a fight.

good and easy directions, but im not gonna know what to look for, like what does the hard lines look like ? not really sure wat a accumilator looks like eaither. Just wish there was pics to go with it.

That's a pretty simple install for a shift kit.

The pics that go with the instructions are the pics on the website. It doesn't say that but I remember when I did mine I had to go grab the laptop an pull up the site to take a look at the pics real fast. Just sucked cuz I had tranny fluid all over my hands an its not the easiest stuff to get off quickly.

Thats the accumulator at the top an I think it says something in the instructions about the bolts shown in the pic are the ones that hold it to the underside of the tranny an the ones that are missing are the ones that hold the two halves together.

When you drop your pan your gonna see the accumulator an the filter clearly. The filter is pretty big an will be just below the accumulator in the pic. Oh an those three lump on the far left of the accumulator are where the hard lines go into it. They arn't pictured but you will see them. Gotta make sure they are seated all the way in when you put it back together.

In this pic the colored things are the spacers, now I know your spacers arnt colored but the instructions should refer to those colors an it should make more sense looking at the pic an reading the instructions. BTW those are the 2 pistons.

It was intimidating to me before I did it too. But its really quite easy just a bit time consuming with all the bolts an messy cuz of all the slipery fluid.

Also, check out this link as it has some great pictures and writeup for this. Granted it tells you have to do it with parts from Lowes or Home Depot. But just read about how to take it apart and put it back together.

I knew I had seen pictures of this before. I noticed you were looking over at CGP looking at the DIY write-up to see if those 7 pages had any pictures the same time I was. Good find on the regals site.

Trannyman was kind enough to do a write-up here with pictures...In the HOW-TO section. http://www.grandprixforums.net/shift_kit.php :D
