Good tuner in Minneapolis area?

I just came back from DB and my first-ever dyno pull. Sounds like I need to move on from my canned tune ASAP.

DB is asking $550 for a dyno tune and they're a month out right now. Neither of which appeals to me.

I'm newish to the area so I wanted to see if anybody here has experience with another tuner locally that is reputable, not quite as expensive and not quite as far out for scheduling?

Thanks peoples.

You could get a BETTER tune here locally, save yourself some money (since our guy is like $300~)...does a few dyno pulls but mostly spends time street tuning. Dyno tunes only are just straight garbage. Reptile's PCM's are only meant to go so far...and a 3.25" with headers only? I'd suggest pulley'in up before getting it tuned, anywhere. Look up LSxKilr on facebook or the like...one of the tuner's there (Bryan) is one of the best around HPTuners.

Cam is also local (FiveFingerDeathPunch), he might know someone.

Yeah, I was running 3.4 for two years and dropped to 3.25 recently after Torque + OBD reader said I didn't have any significant knock. Lies.

DB is rather expensive but I'm not sure anyone is really that much cheaper. I think MAPerformance does dyno tuning but I'd have too look into that to be sure.

If you owned your own tuner I could help out. I own HP Tuners myself and could log stuff but I don't do much tuning as a personal choice with my equipment.

Yeah; might be worth your while looking up LSxKilr or Area47 Tuning. Make a weekend trip out of it; Missouri isn't that far.

Who would I contact for the good $300 street+dyno tune down there? Because LSxKilr's Facebook page quotes $450 for a supercharged-GM tune.

That said, aside from price and time frame, is there a reason for me not to use DB up here locally? Does anybody among us have experience with their tunes for our rides?

And for the record, I'm willing to make a trip. Just trying to get justification.

I live like right next door to DB and all I can say is that people that take their DSM's, honda/acura and mustangs there are very happy with the quality of tuning. Sure there are bad situations here and there but overall they are good guys. I've only heard of a few people taking their grand prix there but can't comment on how everything turned out.

For the cost of the dyno tune, you are honestly better off just buying HP Tuners yourself for $500 and tuning it yourself. The 3800 computer is one of the easiest to learn on and I am local so it would be a breeze to show some times on it.
