good headers legal for cali

hello all,

are there any good or decent headers that are carb approved for our cars that DONT cost almost 1k bucks? or if even at all?

I don't live in a smog state... but I think any type of headers would be fine (stay away from the cheap ones... they are cheap for a reason) as long as you have a cat.

Pacesetter's...just get them coated with a converter and have them welded up like I did in the How-To Section...

Half that. Or damn close to it...a little under $500 shipped for the headers, $50 to get them welded or so...and the cat might be another $50 to $100...so maybe $700 at the most? You're still saving anywhere from $300+ on them. And they have big primaries too for good flow...just like the TOG's and SLP's...

ya, like i did to my obx ones, $350 shipped, welded them, good to go stainless headers.

700 bucks is what i was looking to spend on headers AND cam install...lol! so i guess the obx are it then.

also, shipping shouldnt be too much, they are coming out of cali, the link you sent me logan...have to talk to wife then...

TOGS are ca legal to pacesetter togs and slp all are on the A.R.B website
And if you put the heat shields on and have cats you will probably get by a smog check with any header

i might get obx and a high flow cat in lieu of the flex bend on the dp.
