i am wondering if anyone knows which year the GOLD with machined lip diamond pattern "honeycomb" came on the gp?? i know bonnevilles came with them but what year.... im rockin a 94 se fully restored all original with fully rebuilt 3.1 and have the black ones.. well i painted em but im looking for a set of factory goldies for my red gp se:th_laugh-lol3:

I think it was only '97, my '98 parts car that was manufactured late '97 had the next style on it. Although, I have seen a couple '98s with them on CL, but mostly '97s.

if your looking for the 16x8 crosslaces those are offered on the 1st gen W turbo grand prix and the later b4u GP's so from 88-95.
the bonnie had narrower Xlaces 16x7 iirc

recently found a minty low mile set of silver Alcoa's off a 90, you can find em in white, gold, silver and blue/red on the Richard Petty edition cars....

so if i wanted factory gold crosslace wheels that are the 8 inch i would have to get the regular aluminum colored ones which i have already coated satin black (kept the machined lip) and strip em and repaint ot have em powdercoated? ill find out how to post pics eventually i just got on here. my car is clean as hell no dash cracks everything works as original and i REALLY like the gold look with the red paintjob...lookin @ l67 w/ 4t65 swap as soon as i get another daily driver....

No. Youd possibly find 4 minty gold laces on a black or red tgp/b4u....but you may have to send em to be blasted n powdercoated. So just figure on not finding minty oem golds...

how bout the swap.... good or bad idea...??? pretty familiar with these engines as i have 3 w bodies 00 impala 98 gp gt and 94 gp se just wondering if it would be better to try something diff and go with a 3.4 built i like the 3.1 just no power and biatch to wrench on....

love the turbo but finding parts would be a challenge..... as i would not stuff it in until i was fully satisfied and rebuilt it from oil pan up.... theres one here in the tampa area for 2500.00 and a petty gtp for 6800.00 with the five speed and all original ... idk i like the 94 better than all my others and i dont know why
