Going to San Diego: Tell me fun things to do

so im going to be in san diego from this friday afternoon until next week wednesday morning...

what are some fun things i can get into over there? anyone want to play tour guide?

do not tell me to go to the ****ing zoo. they have animals there and i dont give a ****. i want to go into some awesome dive bars, hit up some amazing food, maybe go to a show, etc.

so CALIFORNIA PEOPLES....what's up with the local area? searching from the internet only brings up really popular **** that im not 100% interested in seeing or caring about....
 




Just got back from there. It's AWESOME! Almost didn't get back on the plain to go home. The gas lamp district is sweet it down town near petco park. Great place to take in a cheap ball game if there playing. Pacific beach is sweet. Great place called the pb ale house has great micro brews and the food really good. All in all I'm wicked jealous.
 
Damn, I've got an office out there to work on. With a couple months lead-time, I might have been able to get my company to send me out at the same time.

33 beaches... I guess that's somethin'.
And of the millions of things to do, I only found a handful of decent ones.

still trying to figure out exactly where i am, but we rented a little bus-mobile so i do have wheels if needed.
 
Gordon Biersch is a pretty good beer garden. great dive on the water is La Hainas. Opens at eleven, closes at dark. Half-naked hotties drunk by noon. Go down Garnett ave to PB and there are 10 dives you will dig.bars stay open till 4, some open back up at 6 am.
 
I live like an hour and a half away from SD. Dont go there too often but i have a couple of friends there, so gettin some fun stuff to do wouldn't be too big of a stretch.
 


so i figured out where im staying, which is on the north end of escondido.

so im like 45 minutes away from actual downtown san diego. hm..
