Going from NA to turbo, how much do I bring timing back?

Ok, so in my NA tune (despite being turbo) the factory has 27*-30* WOT timing. I'm getting KR and need to bring it back. My question is I don't know where to start. I know it's on the base timing, good fuel spark table. I guess I'm wondering how do I know which boxes to modify?

I'd start with a stock L32 timing table, but I'd scale back the WOT timing about 3*.

Agreed, but I'd probably take 3* out in all cells across the board above 1200 RPM (or at least above 1200 and with decent load). I'd suspect that the OP will see some KR during the tuning process in the transitional cells getting into boost - probably be easier to get it dialed in now and then bring cruise/light throttle timing back in after tip in/WOT are good to go.

zero out the AFR spark table, then install the GTP good fuel spark table. I would also flatten out the last 3 rows of the spark table so it will not drop the timing advance off. I wouldnt bother starting with super low timing myself but you should be able to run 16 degrees without issue.

Thank tou guys. I took the advice, now I'm on the L67 tables and all I've had was one blimp of 2.3*. That was a fluke though as it was once while it was learning the fuel trims and hasn't happened since. Next up is installing and getting the WB to log. I'll feel like its ready to fine tune after that.

Should be nice and easy for you if you follow these guys advice. I remember when I got my lq4 maf.... couldent find a maf table that was even close because of my retarded zzp fpr so I had to basically turn off closed loop, Set it to basically be at 12 afr at all times and then logged my wideband vs commanded afr.... I cant tell you how many times I had to drive it just past the last maf cell I had logged, Have it go stupid lean or rich, Pull over and do some guessing and pasting, Flash and then rinse and repeat..... Worst 3 hours of tuning ever. But on the bright side I can run whatever fuel pressure I want now and the maf curve is absolutely perfect.
