GMR 1" chain inspection

Pulled my transmission out to give it a once over and replace the pump shaft with a proper modified one for the GMR input shaft.

Very impressed with the 1" chain. After 2 years of beating on this thing with 600 or more HP on drag radials, many 10 second passes, and 1.4x 60' times, the chain is in the same condition as when it was originally installed.

Unfortunately my diff didn't fare as well.

our 1" managed to clip the case when we broke the IS, obviously it had to be a whiplash type deal but it does lend credence to the stator support deflection that daves noticed

im glad as hell that yours and ours has the same finger deflection rofl

Killed four 7/8 chains in a year before I got this, and those would be touching the case when removed.

Clutches and hard parts all looked good too. Stripped it down and put it all back together last night. Have to get some channel plate gaskets and fix the diff, then back in business.

Forgot to mention, the key to my trans being alive after all the abuse I put it through is Dave at Triple Edge Performance. I run his valve body, channel plate and clutches. He has supplied parts quickly anytime I've had an issue, and his advice and support have been invaluable. He definitely knows the 4t65 and if you need one, buy from him. He is a huge asset to this community, so I try and support him, even buying stuff I can get locally from him instead.
