GMPP Front Brakes

Why can't I find jack for info on these? Or are they called something else? Supposed to be 12" diameter.

Not sure on the GMPP kit, but I know ZZP and Wbody store sell 12" front brake kits. Sounds like the F-Body or 06+ Impala swap, depending on if you want to tap brackets and want aluminum calipers or not. Personally I just grabbed a set of 06+ Imp calipers, brackets and rotors from the JY, a new set of front hoses and installed. Direct fit and sits under a stock 16" torque star wheel. And yes, they are 12" rotors.

Like said above the 06 up Impala brakes work great. They are 12" and dual piston and a direct bolt on. I just bought the red powder coated set off of Rock auto.

I'm aware of the Impala swap. Are the GMPP's different? Take their own rotors and calipers? Or are these Impala brakes in disguise?

I bought some GMPP brackets over the weekend, so just trying to determine if it is cost effective to use them....

GMPP brackets? You mean larger bracket , same stock caliper and pads but 12" rotors?
Yes. Yes. That is my question. Or even larger calipers and 12" rotors.

My picture looks close to the one in the link ItHurtz posted.

Order rotors and brackets for Olds Intrigue JA9 brake option. this will give you 11.9" front brakes with stock calipers

Bacislly you have Park Ave brackets.
If you want 12s and duals, you need Impala or Fbody set up
Thanks. Been doing some research this morning and that is what I am finding. Not sure if I really want/need duals.

Thanks. In reading the above ClubGP link, this is the direction I was hoping to go.

Now to see if the brackets I have will work for this. Will see if there are any #'s stamped into these brackets.

I did not read the entire thread but the GMPP set up was just the larger brackets to run a larger rotor. No calipers. It allows one to keep the stock calipers.

I have them and they look good as far as appearance with the larger rotor. I typically purchase rotors from a 02'ish monte carlo/impala.

Thanks Guz. You answered my question to the tee. :th_thumb-up:

Here is some generic info on the GMPP Brake Kit, part number 12498644:

http://www.gmperformancemotor.com/parts/12498644.html

As others have said, the brackets will work with your existing calipers and pads. You just need 11.9" rotors from an Olds Intrigue with the JA9 brake option or some 2000-2005 Impalas have the 11.9" rotors too. Any of the following part numbers should get you the 11.9" rotors:

GM 12498647
AC Delco 18A813 or 1770963
Raybestos 580559

Thanks Addam. I meant to ask you more details about the brackets, but we got to chatting instead. LOL
