GM Tech Tool options vs. Innova OBD

Have a '04 GP. I'm looking for some better options to the Innova OBD tool that I currently use. Is the GM Tech Tool2 a good fit for the GP?

Not looking to break the bank but I want a scanner I can do more with than a mid-level Innova that I have now, thanks!
