hey guys my friend recently got alldata on his computer and currently I got mine as well, but he was looking up my car on their and I was looking at the recalls and in 2013 it said their was a recall for slip yokes in differential going out and it was causing rough shifting between gears and it was clunking into gear when stopping( which is what mine is currently doing) I as wondering would GM still fix a recall that's 2 years old or for that matter any old recall that wasn't taken care of? thanks any input would help, I was just curious.

"Drive shaft slip yoke"
the slip yoke goes into the transmission or transfer case. not the differential. just so I can clarify for you what the recall is. yes....a recall is forever. yours may have already been done. you can call the dealer and have them look up the recall information for your vin

yeah I looked up my carfax history and supposedly my transmission was overhauled in 2007 by aamco and the only open recall was a current one for oil leaking on the exhaust manifolds that could start a engine fire. I couldn't find past recalls serviced so im curious if it was taken care of sometime in 2013 and it went out again but I wouldn't think the slip yoke would go out again that quick
