Giant Hornets Nest, Size of basketball. Help



Ive seen a few around my house this summer. Only the females have stingers but arent really aggressive. I will still kill them when I see them though
 
We have Asian Giant hornets around here. Unlike the Cicada Killer wasp, Asian Giant hornets have Massive hives. and they alone, Are a bit bigger than the Cicada wasp... And pack a Nasty sting.

Not allergic to bee Stings? Doesn’t matter with this killer! If the hornet injects enough venom in you, you could die regardless. People stung by this giant say that it’s like having a nail driven into your skin, that’s because the venom causes the arachidonic acid to be released from the phospholipid membrane disproportionately ( or in simpler terms, it eats away at your flesh).
You’ll feel this 1/4 inch stinger which is the size of the tip of your pen (think of a staple, but half the size) and because it doesn’t have an ridges, the stinger can be stab you multiple times – talk about a bee sting!*@

Think because you’re human and don’t have honey that this doesn’t concern you? Think again – these giants attack humans as well and more then 40 people die each year from the attack.
Once the hornet has you in it’s sights, there is no use running; it can fly up to speeds of 25 mph and travel up to 60 miles in a day, so it’s little work for the wasp to catch you and begin the onslaught of stinger stabs. I should note here that the wasp does not fly around looking for humans but rather was disturbed and believes it is under attack.

The cicada killers are scary looking, but they're teddy bears. I had a picture that I took of one carrying a cicada and Im trying to find it. It was awesome! Now, mohogany wasps on the other hand are assholes and pack a punch. They always have lookouts, and whether you see them or not, they see you. And if you get too close, you're fuct!
 
We have a plentiful amount of these assholes around here. Theyre like that dirty biker gang That you look at the wrong way, And they come barreling at you with rocket launchers, Machine guns, Flame throwers, Grenades etc. Literally, Get within 10 feet of a nest like this And they all turn and look at you. Get within 5 Feet, And you have a few flying at you. 3 Feet, You feel the fury.

Holy ****!!

Hornets and wasps are enough to make me go away.......far away.

I hope I never ever ever see one of those monstrous things.

Meh, the dudes don't have stingers, and the chicks dont fuc with ya unless you step on em.
 
On a somewhat lighter and less terrifying note, anyone know how I could train a swarm of those Asian hornet things? :th_sinister:

Somehow captivate the pheromone with a spectrum analyzer, Figure out what pheromones are for attack etc...
 
Sorry all, been out and about working three jobs and trying to get over my money woes. The nest is dead. Took the easy way out. Sprayed the hell out of it with starting fluid. Found out from my mom I have never been stung before, so did not want to go any route of possibly getting stung. Thanks for the advice and whenever the next nest arises, there will be video and it will catch fire.
