Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

General question...

This has nothing to do with GP's... just thought I would ask some people who might know something...

When you have a key that says "Duplication prohibited" - is it still possible to find someone willing to duplicate?

How illegal is it to duplicate such a key?

Just curious.

What is the key to?

And yes, it is possible to make copies of the key.

It is an apartment key. . I do know it is possible to copy the key itself, but I just can't figure out how I could do that where as it says not to duplicate RIGHT on the key.

Just go get you a couple of blanks for a few bucks and have fun with a Dremel and a cutoff wheel. You'd be surprised how easily one can copy keys that aren't supposed to be copied.:th_mischievious:

It is not illegial. There is no law against it. But most locksmiths or key copy places will not do it.

Find a friend that works at a hardware store or something.

Maybe it's like that on the civilian side, but for the military, atleast where I'm at, it is.
