Gen V help!

i bought a Gen V the other day, and i wanted to pull the snout off and pull out the rotor pack to clean it out and get it powdercoated. Well, instead of the star bolts coming out easily, they decided to strip out on me. now i have no idea what to do. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
 


one of them bolt extractors should work. its a left handed drill bit tip that digs in and make the bolt turn free.

add some heat to the area where the threads are will also help break them free.
 
It's not an easy job to powder coat the rotors. You actually have to press them out of the bearing plate. Is the abradable coating on the gen 5 bad? Your best not to touch it.

That bearing said, I've taken a drill and drilled off a couple the head of the bolt off. Need something close to a metric 8.

Once snout off you can get the rest of bolt.

the rotors do have some of that coating coming off, but i wasnt really concerned about that quite yet. i was talking about powdercoating the housing itself.
 
I wouldn't bake my supercharger at 400 plus degrees. There are seals in the needle bearings, bearing plate and snout.
 


Lmao yup better off just painting it. As far as the stopped bolts... Been there done that stripped all 8 trying to get them out heat still didn't help. Some of them I drilled out others I took a grinder and carefully cut the head off and then once the snout was removed I took some vice grips and hit and was able to turn the rest of the bolt out. Then replaced them with socket cap bolts to never have to worry about that crap happening again.
 
Looks like ill be painting it then hahah. and yeah, i think im going to just drill them out tomorrow. thanks everyone for all the help
 
Eastwood company has some high end 2 part epoxy paint in a spray can! Not sure about colors.

$22 aprox.
 
Just use a dremel to cut a slot into the head and then use a impact driver to break em lose. Also I agree the paint > powder coat.
