Gear selector lever popping off on 4t65

On my 2000 GTP with 199k miles the gear selector arm that is connected to the shifter inside my vehicle keeps popping off. When I push it back in it feels loose. I believe that I need to replace the arm/lever. Is there a right up for it? Or can someone give me pointers. Also Anyone have the part number? I looked it up on rock auto and the description was vague with no pictures.

Here is a picture

If I were you I would MacGyver it by taking off the arm, drilling and tapping a small hole, and putting a retaining screw with washer in the stud.

Otherwise, you're looking at most likely a dealer or JY part.

Antonio...interior or externior cable keeps coming off?

Exterior..let's blame Max, I think he was around during the install. More likely you need a new cable as the plastic on some comes off easier than others.

Looks that way Bill, Do you have any idea where I can get one? The thing keeps popping off more often now and it sucks with all the parallel parking that I need to do in the city.

The exterior loop that goes around the nipple is what has worn down and keep popping off. The rest of the assembly is fine.

Bill, how hard is it to replace? Considering how far junk yards are from me i might just Macguyver it for now. Will the range selector arm come out with losening out that big bolt on it ?

Since I have no junkyard close to me or a garage to figure out how the linkage works I just zip tied them together for now. Hoping it holds for a while.
