Gauge wiring help

I feel dumb, but wiring these gauges have been a *****. I'm attempting to install an oil pressure gauge and a boost gauge. The oil pressure gauge is electronic, and I got the sender in. They are Glowshift's black 7-color gauges.

They have wires as follows:

Black-ground
Red-switched power
Yellow-constant 12V positive
Orange-dimmer

The oil press gauge has an additional wire for the sender. The problem I'm having is they will not dim, nor ever turn off. I disconnected the dimmer wire for now, and tried to work out the turning on/off problem. I connected my constant to the constant wire from my Kenwood, they're even the same color. Same with the switchable wire, from the back of the stereo...it's red too. I found a ground at the bottom of the steering column that's bare. I hooked up the sensor signal wire, and used this for the dimmer wire:

Lighting Your Gauges

The radio will now not turn off...Instead, when I turn off the key (with the door open) the radio and gauges stay on. The constant wire has 12 volts, I checked it, but the switched wire also has voltage. What am I doing wrong here?
