Gauge pod opinions

Thinking about getting either a 3 pod a pillar gauge holder or hud pod. What brand should i get? And what do you guys like, the pillar or hud better?

I haven't ever seen a WBS pod, so I can't say for sure, but I would assume so since WBS sells a few things "made by" ZZP.

There's writeups on a vent ball setup, and someone on GPONA recently post pics of their "cubby hole" setup.

Both seem simple and effective if you don't want a pillar pod.

You know..I wondered what would happen if I tried to make one. It was my first attempt at fiberglass. Overall, it's really easy to get rolling with glass. then a little bondo to add material to shape further, and it's amazing what you can do.

I'm getting an oil pressure, aeroforce gauge. And i can't make a decision on a third gauge. What's your guys opinion? All i have is CAI rite now but i plan on doing more once i have the cash if that matters as far as gauges go.

My opinion after having three gauges.. get one. Aeroforce. Add on an oil pressure kit that feeds directly into it. They have it too. And fuel pressure.

Then you have three in one gauge. It can scroll, record and all that crap.

So you made your own? How'd it turn out? I've never bothered with auto body before so i have no experience with molding bondo or anything.

The only benefit that the new 04+ ZZP A pillar has is the stock style finish.

So you can wire an oil pressure and fuel pressure right in to the aerofore?

Is the fuel pressure kit worth having for that price though? I dont really know much about fuel pressure i've read fifty different opinions on what gauges to have..

If everything is good, you need no gauges.

Gauges only tell you what's failing or what caused your engine to blow. Is anything worth it?

I never bothered with fuel pressure, if I wondered, I tossed my gauge on the rail and stuffed the gauge under a wiper arm then went for a drive.
Oil pressure...about the time you see it low.. your in need of a new motor. Only thing it does it allow you to worry for a few more miles on the way home.

the new zzp pillar pods are nice, good quality, i have one in a vent plus im adding 3 in the pod lol
