Gaskets for 3" DP.

Firstly, thanks to those in the chat trying to help me out, answers were useful but vague and somehow sounded like an arguments. Anyways, posting a thread won't hurt anyone and might be of use to later people.

So I've got a 3" downpipe on my thing, and it's leaking horribly at the top gasket, (Manifold to downpipe), I'm fairly sure that the part store gasket wasn't the right one, it was just somekind of composite, didn't look like an exhaust gasket that much, was all grey. Bottom one they gave me was good, though, had a metal ring and such.

Now what I'm asking here, is what should I use to re-seal both ends.

Gasket or RTV/Right stuff? Gasket could allow me to drive my car as soon as the job was done, RTV would have me wait a night and nights here are still freezing, so I think that might not be the best (Unless RTV can still cure at 0C to -10C)

If Gasket, what would be the good # numbers I could give to that dude at the part store, I checked online and it always came out to be more expensive.

Help me figure out what to use to fix that ******* horrible exhaust leak, hah.

I don't know if it will, but I don't have it anymore, reused it after my cam(On stock downpipe) leaked a bit, dropped it and installed that crap the part store gave me, been leaking horribly since then (On the 3" downpipe.)

I'd like to pop in gaskets so I can just install and go my way, but if it takes copper rtv, I can just fit it in the garage for a friday overnight kinda deal. That exhaust leak is making me cringe each time I get on the gas.

Find the p/n and maybe order a stock gasket and try it out. I was never a fan if the part store gaskets...the stock metal ones are 100x better and just need to be cleaned.

Yeah, and to be sure, stock gasket do fits on the ZZP 3" dp?

And I know, those part store ones didn't even look like they were exhaust gaskets, well the bottom one did, but the top one looked like a giant thermostat housing gasket. I think Felpro makes a stockish metal gasket for up-top, should check out rockauto and call the local part store and see if they can get them for me for a decent price, shipping always kill me on small part order.

Felpro 61310 is metal like the OEM, as I believe is victor reinz F31593. ZZP likely sent the fibre type gasket they use on their headers, where they can't use the factory metal gasket.

I didn't get the gasket from ZZP, as said, parts store ones whom likely were the wrong ones.

Thanks for the numbers, does fel pro or walker make a gasket too for the downpipe to catback flange?

Anyone know that part number yet? The 3" to 2.5" zzp downpipe rear gasket. The one at the part store looks like the inner diameter is smaller then 2.5"
