Gas Won't go into car unless done very slowly

Not sure if this is in the right section so sorry but not sure where else to put it.

My 05 Grand Prix is having some sort of issue with the tank venting the air out when I go to fill up. I have to put it in at about 2 gallons a minute otherwise the pump will kick off. Sometimes it will take half a tank or so before it starts acting up but most of the time I have to fill the whole thing up slow. It is very very very annoying.

Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know where I would start with to fix it.

most of the time you get a code for that, seems to be a vent purge solenoid, or the canister tank the solenoid sits on. its in the rear quarter panel near the filler neck, look from under the car, you cant miss it.

the lines to the tank also rust off or the lines can break.
