Gas mileage questions

Is it just my car or what but my DIC says im getting 18-20 mpg but when i do the math im only getting 14. Does that soundabout right for a 3.4 pulley, DHP pcm, ram air, and slp loudmouth exhaust? The sticker from the factory says it should get 20mpg in the city.

Depends on how you drive. And the DIC isn't really accurate (since it goes by guesstimates based off MAF values).

It does not sound like you have enough done to the car to be running a 3.4" pulley. So, with that knock, it is probably pulling lots of timing, hurting your fuel economy even more. Like was said, the DIC is not the most accurate anyway...especially with the DHP PCM, I have found they estimates are quite optimistic.

i forgot to mention i have the 180 tstat and u bend delete. Headers are definetely my next mod. Will there be a noticable difference with headers? I never had a car with headers

Overall it is a noticable difference. It will be louder and driveability improves.

As long as you have a cat/resonator combo it'll be almost as quit as a stock car ;)

I've got headers, no cat, stock resonator and aftermarket mufflers.

Sounds great, no drone, just loud @ WOT!!
