• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

gas mileage is turrible. can anybody help with clues?

I used a pair of pliers to take the screws out if my maf and I replaced them with Phillips screws.

Update: I drove the car for a week on just the changed plugs. I saw an increase of 1 mile per gallon so while it took steps to run a lot better it is inconclusive that it made a difference in fuel mileage. Drove 179 miles on trip odometer and put in 12.6 gallons of gas for 14.2 mpg. However, this week was more in town driving than normal, short trips n stop lights. Cut the idling down in parking lots or warm ups WAY down, though. I drive it for work so i eat lunch in it, write orders for my accounts, call people, check FB, and other super important stuff.

Here is what I did do on Saturday. I took the Throttle Body off and cleaned it and also cleaned the MAF sensor. What a difference that made for quality of operation. It is much smoother, runs much better. It still idles a lil rough, though. I did not clean the Idle Control Valve with the throttle body spray or the MAF spray because I was unsure if I should use that. If I can use that its easy enough to pop it off and clean it. What would a safe product be to use to clean that?

So, another week to see the difference those two things make. Here are two things I saw when I scanned it today

1) Emissions Readiness S/DTC 02 Sensor: Incomplete
All other parameters read complete or not available in that drop box

2)TID: $05 CID: $09
Rich to lean sensor switch time (Calculated) Min. 2,560 Max. 24,576 Current 0 Not Ok

Don't know whats up with that so I'm ready to learn. Would the second have something to do with the ZZP PCM?

By the way, I use only BP 93 Octane gas unless none is available. In emergency I use 91. Like if I take it way out of the KC metro.
