Garage Security - What's your solution?

I can't car too good.
Apartment living can suck because people generally suck. Garage gets locked at night. Think I've got a tweaker problem.

A ten foot wall that separates the stalls. I still found my spare flopped over that leans against the back wall yesterday. Could be random, could be a meth-head version of Ninja Warrior.

I'm thinking trail cam secured in the corner by the door. Possibly one of those generic laser tripwires to make some loud noise. Tweakers scare easily.

Other suggestions?

C-Wire works, but there liability... I say leave a pool of water on the garage floor, and an extension cord (frayed with hot leg exposed) sitting in the water... Make sure you leave the cord plugged in to another cord where you can unplug it as you enter garage. There, done... Anyone coming over the top won't know what hit them!

Ugh, kinda thought we did. Brand new, not even complete. 1k/mo with credit score and criminal background.

Gaunt looking chick w/shady bf still manages to fold laundry from her trunk in their garage at 4am. We have in unit laundry, so..wtf.

Could see tracks in the snow. (yes, I know it's May, lol)

Maybe cheap plastic fence tacked up there even, idk.
 


Motion lights and loud noise might help. If it is crackheads, they are a hearty breed, so you may need to step it up to large sticks or baseball type bats. The problem is that if you scare this one away, there are 20 more right behind waiting to annoy you.

oh yeah, that works... Simple rubber bands and paper clips can take out the lights. Baseball bats don't work, they get free medical care and you get jail!

an Alternate plan is to epoxy broken bottles along the top of the wall... Can soak them in a nice solution of effervescent de toilet "GUARANTEED" to cause an unpleasant infection if entering the bloodstream :D
But jail somehow seems assured there too...

I like the poor sucker just had a bad break stepping in a pudding that was electrified...

Rottweiler is another plan B, gee I forgot my dog in the garage last Sunday, or was it the Sunday before???, he must a been hungry, not much left of the guy who broke in!

They make anti-roost spikes for keeping birds off of buildings... That and an electric fence transformer hooked up to it should do alright at keeping most of them away. The stubborn ones you might need trip-wire pepper spray. I've seen it done before... lol
 


You guys aren't thinking about repercussions properly. Anything in the world can be a weapon and anything can be an effective deterrent.

Go buy a few mouse traps. All you were doing was trying to catch the one or two you thought were living in the garage. If the traps are snapped, you know you have a rat issue.
 
Appreciate the ideas. Think I will tack some fence up there. At least having it in sight means eyes are watching.

Snow/garden fence has to be dirt cheap right now, too.

Probably still going to get a trail cam. Not sure where to put.
