Full synthetic ATF?

Is it safe to use full synthetic ATF? I have a 2005 gxp with 97k on it and was going to do a filter change. Just wondering if its ok to use synthetic.

I put full synth in my 04 GTP about 1k miles ago. No issues.

Personaly, I'd use Dexron transmission fluid, aka the OEM fluid. Its already a synthetic.
