Fuel sender - need to replace?

99 Grand Prix 3.8 no super turbo flux capacitor. :th_laugh-lol3:

Fuel gauge starts at full regardless of what's in the tank then creeps down to empty. Is this something with the gauge or is it the sending unit at the tank? I hope not the unit in the tank because the fuel pump and sending unit are one piece. Best price I found was $275 at Napa. :th_thumb-down:

I did find the ACDelco part that is just the float and rheostat for around $120 (depending on where you look). Would that be an option?

Any advice or insight on this?

Actually the best solution I have found for my same problem was ebay. I found just the sending unit by itself for only $20 bucks. Hopefully this link will show up......Good luck!
