Fuel Rail Line Connector Leak

So as i was checking something in my engine compartment today, i got a sniff of fuel and noticed that the supply line from the fuel pump that connects to the fuel rail is leaking. If i take it and move it up and down, it squirts out fuel. It also easily comes off. I couldnt even get the return line off the fuel rail lol.

From what ive googled, you can replace the o-rings in the connects? Does anyone know a part number or somewhere i could possibly find one? I really would like to not have to replace the entire plastic line.

Thank you ;)

if you can take the line off with out a tool theres more going on there. you need a tool to take the line off the rail. your clips maybe f ed up inside the fat part of the line end there.

what i did was i bought a small box of small fuel rated O rings, then took mine out and matched em up. its a fun job. make sure you have a pick or two to work with.

Yes this one easily comes off. I just have to squeeze the tabs at the bottom of the connector.

Thats what i am reading everywhere but i cant find anywhere where people bought them. Where did you get your small box from? I saw the little yellow one in there but i still dont know exact what it needs to be and look like.

yours a 04 up? maybe thats why the pinch clips.

i got the box of O rings at napa. i looked up the sizes years ago when i did this, and they didnt match up right, so i used what looked like it was the same size as the old ones. do your best to get the old ones out whole. mine fell apart. made matching them up more of a guessing game.

mines not like that one. mine has 4 metal clips on the inside.

my guess is you'd have to get that white clip part out of the way then change the o rings.

go to your profile and then edit sig. you can have 4 lines of text, a pic = a line. if you click my pic in my sig it takes you to the site to make banners.

oh, and those dorman lines ends, some people seem to have issues with the new line getting soft and leaking. id try my best to just get the o rings swapped out.

White clip stays on the fuel rail and the black connector pulls off with the other hose pulls off. Yes i really do not want to have to cut and replace it. Those nylon lines are a nightmare

ok, i think i know what your dealing with, if you can see both o rings inside its as simple as digging the old ones out and putting the new ones in the groove.
