• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

fuel rail/injectors

Possibly all 6 if your new one wasn't iridium. =)

Get the AcDelco iridium plugs, may as well change your wires too (Acdelco).

I doubt your problem lies with an injector, that rarely occurs.

Don't they pop codes too?

Or your valve cover is leaking oil down the block and seeping through the threads into the plugs.

Replaced my valve cover gaskets, wires, and plugs.

Picked up 11mpg. LOL

You are suggesting that oil can seep in where 180psi of compression can't seep out? :th_scratchhead: I've never seen oil seep into a cylinder from a plug hole where the plug is properly installed.

You are more likely to get arcing of the wire to the block.

So do I have to take the engine mount and the dog bone the icm? Or is there a way to just get the front valve cover off?

you un bolt the wire harness from the front of the icm, ( 8 mm socket iirc) take the 3 bolts off that hold the coil bracket to the side of the head, ( one of these bolts holds the icm ground wire make sure it goes back on) take the dog bone off too. then the cover comes right off.

So the other engine mount will hold it in place right? I've noticed the engine is alittle cocked because of an accident. Didn't know if that'll damage anything

it may move some when you pull the bolt out of the dog bone, but it moves, you just pull it back to line up the bolt.

if your engine is cocked in the bay your lower motor mount maybe shot. pop the hood and shift the car from P to R then to D while watching the engine, if the whole engine moves more then a inch or 2 either way the lower mounts are shot.

are you suggesting that coconuts migrate?

Do you think those brackets are better?

I have the one that mounts to the top of the head and one of the manifold studs.

Ok so I've been thinking about its either the valve cover or the intake. There is a method of spraying a liquid around a gasket and the engine revs higher to be noticed. Any special kind of liquid? Any other methods I can try before I start tearing things apart?

carb cleaner is nice and cheap too. 3 bucks a can if you get the store brand. move the lines a bit while spraying, this will sometimes make the leak more evident.
