Fuel pump wiring harness

I got an ac delco pump to put in, OEM replacement.

Pump was really REALLY whining loud so I’m changing it out before I end up stuck somewhere.

In the box with the new pump comes a new square 4pin connector, but it’s identical to the one already in the car.

I test fit it to the new pump and it plugs in perfectly. Do I still have to go through the splicing for this included harness for some reason, or can I just plug and play this one?
 


If it’s identical just use the one on the car. I know at some point they revised the harness and the flat 4 pin was the new design.
