Is there a way to test if the fuel pump in a 2000 GTP is kicking into high speed? Does it start the car in high speed mode and then go to low speed when in idle or only uses high speed when going into boost? My car bogs bad anytime boost kicks in and but runs fine with the SC belt pulled off.
 


If your car primes and starts w/o you needing to use any throttle, then high speed is working. However you should get a pressure tester and check that it's not getting low when the engine is in boost.
 
Tried the tester last week, was about 48 at koeo, 42 at , and 52 in boost.
I did notice in park when I held the throttle it would jump around 45 and start losing pressure right away even though the rpm's held.
