Fuel pump issues... Again. I need serious advice.

Hey there,
So this is the 3rd fuel pump going into my 04 comp G. This pump might have 5,000km.
I had the car sitting for a year and a half. Threw in a new battety. Started it up and ran it for 10 minutes at idle.
All of a sudden the car died. It didn't sputter, just stopped running. I turned the key off, then on. I couldn't hear the fuel pump running.
I've checked the relay, it seemed to click, replaced it anyways. Checked the 15A fuse, it was good, threw a new one in there.
Nothing is getting it to come on. What the hell am I missing?

Yeah. I was about to do that but my kid needs stitches... so when I get back I'll hook a voltage meter to it. I did check the wires. The new pump needed me to cut and rewire. I remember doing that perfect and it still looks new. Would an ECU mess with this?

theres the old bang on the tank bottom too, pump might have gone bad, never know.

paper towel and duct tape, teach em young, unless the poor kid is sliced wide open of course. best of luck with that.

I'll check that out too.

Yeah, he was playing with something he shouldn't have an got a good gash. Little 4 year olds... this is the stitching age haha!

iirc i was about 12 when i first tore myself open good enough for stitches, sledding and some how i caught something with my hand. nice blood trail the whole way home lol

Which fuel pump are you putting in?

My car ate walbro 255s every year for three years, I gave up and bought the ac delco one for the forth replacement and its been fine for...8-9 years now.

Your mileage may vary, my prix has only done 5500 miles a year since it was made.

To be honest, I bought it 2 years ago and I can't remember. I can tell you it wasn't AC Delco. Makes sense with what you're saying. I researched the hell out of this and maybe it boils down to the brand.

Lol well I guess if you got lost they could have tracked you haha! He was playing with mom's glorified coat hanger A.KA. exercise machine lol

Sooooo... what caused this problem was the harness under the truck shook off while the car was at idle. That's why my pump wasn't working.

So, I connect it, pump works. Went to fire the car up... cranks as if there's no fuel. I checked the rail, there's fuel, the car is cranking over great, it just will not fire.

Check the fuel injector fuse. Ive had it to where it kept blowing randomly. I put a higher amperage fuse in and never had a problem since

I've checked every single fuse in the panel, even the lights just to see if I had 1 blown. They're all good.

The harness under the trunk came disconnected and obviously shut the pump off so the engine died because of no fuel. I don't understand how it doesn't fire that it has fuel???

I'm totally stumped... it'll crank all day long and won't fire at all.
