fuel pump fuse blows repeatably

So after changing the fp fuse today(bc it blown) the car started. Hours later went to start car again and I hear no fp priming and of course no start.

Checked the fp fuse and its blown again. Replaced it about 5 Times and it seems to blow on every key on (car doesn't even have to start for it to blow, obviously).

What could cause the fuel pump fuse to blow repeatably like this? Car was running great prior to this fp fuse blowing

sounds like you got a short somewhere ground the wires and blowing the fuse out. can be a real pita to find with out a muliti meter tool.

Fuel pump motors fail. Mostly have a open circuit at the commutator or brushes. But sometimes the commutator shorts and causes the fuse to blow. Restricted supply fuel line and old pumps could pop a fuse. Has the fuel filter been changed? Diagnosing may be difficult, but the direct path would be disconnecting electrical connector at the fuel pump at the tank, and turning the ignition on. If the fuse does not blow, replace the pump. If it blows the wire is shorted between the fp relay and fp connector.
The fuses are to protect the wiring from high current (burnt wiring or fire).
Pcm energizes the fp relay when the ignition is on. This primes / pressurize the fuel supply for quick starting of the engine.

Mybad for the late response, it was the fuel pump re-wire grounding out Causing the fp fuse to disfunction.

Ima have to keep my eye on the fp re wire from now on, never know if It could get snagged/smashed on something. Weird bc I Installed the fp rewire like 3+ years ago and never had a problem with it. I totally didnt expect the rewire to be the culprit but If anyone Is having the same Issue the rewire Is simple to trace out In the need to finding a short along that wire. Im sure I was working on something and accidentally moved the rewire out of place. It Smashed/punctured a lil but electric tape secured it pretty well

Thanks guys......
