Fuel Pressure Regulator New to Thread

Info needed:

Attempting to remove FPR for the first time. Before I do this I keep reading/seeing (relieve fuel pressure). How do you do this????? Is this needed before remove the Vacuum line attached to the top of the FPR or even when I attempt to remove the actual FPR? Not sure what will happen.... I am checking to see if GAs is present in the FPR which I have been told may be causing my sons 2001 Buick Regal to stall under 5 MPH or not start most mornings evenings etc.... Thoughts?

xcI'll have to find out where the schrader valve is... I'm not a car guy. So the gas (if any) in the FPR wouldn't cause these issues? Your thoughts on what it could be?

If you follow the fuel lines, its that valve stem looking thingy, you can depress the needle if the car is cold, fuel should squirt.

Scan for codes.

If its cold its not in closed loop yet, could be something as simple as a dirty MAF

NO codes are coming up on Readers, and actually no CEL lights or anyting to speak of on the dash.... Cleaned Throttle Body and MAF already. getting worse on stalling and starting each day now.
