Went to replace the fuel filter and the line was rusted to crap an cracked on one turn. I cant tell where the line goes up to and obviously i cant take it in. How hard is it to replace? where exactly does that line lead up to? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

Someones had to replace a line sometime. I tried following the line from underneath even with the tire off but the lines cross i cant see a damn thing and now im wondering if its one solid line that leads to the fuel rail or does it meet another line by the firewall

I think it meets another line. I'd call you local dealership parts dept. and see what they have to say. You could just cut that cracked part off and put a rubber hose over it and patch it to the fuel filter with hose clamps for a temp fix. I just tried to look this up on alldata and they don't really show schematics. You'll probably have to call a dealership and get a new fuel line. :(

you realize you dont turn the nut on the line right? you hold that end and turn the filter....thats prolly why you cracked it.

not to revive an old thread but your tip about un-screwing the filter to get it off was a lifesaver. i had the classic can't get the filter off until i came across your thread and tried it and it came right off. i, like alot off other people didn't realise that's how you do it. a million thank's for a great tip....

I did the same thing with mine. I cmpletely twisted the fuel line shut trying to twist off the filter. I ended up cutting the fuel line and running a compression fitting. No leaks for 2 1/2 years. Worked out great for me. I just bought a piece of pipe and a fitting from autozone.

I almost felt your pain today doing mine filter. I thought it best to stop and research it on this forum and then i ran into kfish's eloquent tip....
