Front end clunking/grinding

Hello i have a 1999 pontiac grand prix gtp, at first i got a slight clunking or grinding sound from the front end. not happening very often, recently it got worse, when i accelerate from a stop it grinds and clunks, after i pass 5-10 mph it stops. Also clunks when i brake sometimes. My front right side the sway bar bushings are not intact anymore and the bar isn't connected too anything on the right side but i dont think this is whats causing the problem. Any ideas? I dont think my motor mounts are shot, could it be exaust loose ?

Fix you're sway bar man. More than likely your mounts are shot if youre guessing on their condition. While you're doing all that re tourqe your caliper bracket to knuckle bolts.

Grinding noises generally tend to be wheel bearings. Clunks can be anything from control arms, sway bar bushings, bad struts, bad strut mounts. Replace your sway bar if its broke. Why were you not fixing it in the first place? lol

Ummm, if something is clearly broken why not fix it? Stop by a shop; since your screename implies you are a girl, I'm sure they'll tell you all sorts of things that are wrong. Hopefully a few of those could be your actual culprit.

If you got down far enough to see a broken sway bar why not look at the exhaust youself? Is it touching the ground? Grab it with your hand give it a wiggle, is it loose or what?
