Front Drivers Side lock not working on door panel and on Remote, need help

All of a sudden my front door lock doesn't work with the remote or the lock/unlock on the door panel. I thought it might be the lock assembly so I purchased a new one and replaced the whole assembly and it still doesn't work. What could it be if its not the lock assembly? Electrical? How do I go about fixing this issue?
