front brakes rattling

Hi all, I still have my stock brakes on my 98 GTP and ever since I bought the car, the front brakes rattle when the road is bumpy and I'm sure it's the brakes because it stops as soon as I tap on the brakes, even just a little bit.

I had the brake pads replaced not long ago and I noticed that they didn't have any clips holding them in place besides the ones attached to the back of the pads.

My question would be if anyone knows why does this happens? Are they supposed to have anything else holding them in place?

Thanks,

It's probably the pad rattling in the caliper, there is a spring that hold it tight to the caliper, yours are probably..... welll, not dion its job?

I bought the car in october last year. it was doing it when i bought it and changed the pads back then. I don't think I saw any springs in there. Just the clips that are behind the pads and that's it. I think those may be missing then. That's actually what I wanted to know if there was anything like those springs supposed to be there.

I've had other disc brake cars before that had similar problems, one of them was an 85 trans am. the rear pads used to rattle all the time for this same reason.
