Front and Rear Different

I've had an 04 GT for nearly 4 years now, however I am just starting to get into all of this.

I replaced my Front Brake Pads and Rotors with simple OEM replacement parts last year around this time. However now I need new back brakes. I have been looking at getting different Rotors and Brakes and was just wondering if there would be any problems with it.

I want to replace the rear with ceramic pads and different rotors. I have been looking at slotted (just for aesthetic reasons) and Hawk Ceramic pads however i don't have them on the front right now. Will this affect anything?

I'm also hesitant to do it though as im looking at getting a G8 or a new Camaro to replace the GP. I don't want to affect my resale values either. If i do decide to replace the car, ill just buy the slotted rotors and pads and give them to whoever buys the car so they can have a matching set (karma thing).

Any opinions or knowledge that can be passed my way?

Thanks,
J

pads with higher coefficient of friction must be in the front or all around.

never rear only.

Otherwise you'll lock up the rear well before the fronts.

You DO have ABS, but its still not a good idea.

I'd get some OEM replacements of the same grade for the rear.
