ok I'm ****ing furious. Torque is being a pita with 2 android phones so I decided use my laptop because I was told it will work that way too. well I can't seem to get this ****ing thing going on the laptop. I have Bluetooth on the laptop and it connects to the adapter but how the **** am I supposed to use the laptop with this?

Torque isn't made for Windows or have any PC version. You can get other programs that will read the adapter, I have no idea what they are tho just google it. If you gonna just use a laptop might as well get an adapter that a USB dongle so it reads faster. No idea how expensive they are tho. Whats wrong with the phones?

FWIW my tablet doesn't have bluetooth, and I couldn't get it to read any USB/OBD2 cables. Their website says it only works with one specific cable, and it's expensive.

are you setting up the app right? you need to sync it with the blue tooth, then let it know your car and stuff.

if you got the elm obd2 scanner it came with a mini disk that should work on a lap top, its not the t app but its got some data from what ive read. i have not tried it out my self, its sitting in a draw lol worth a shot if all else fails.

I run Torque with BT or USB, there's no special cable other than the OBD2 USB cable ($30 for the NON ****ty made ones). I've e-mailed Ian (developer of Torque Pro) many times and he is VERY helpful. I can try to help as well, Is your Android device paired with the BT adapter before you open Torque? If you choose to go USB you'll need Torque Pro (paid) Torque (Free) won't work with USB.

I used to run Torque Pro via BT on my old Droid X, now I have to run USB OBD2 to run Torque Pro on my head unit, as the head unit doesn't support OBD2 BT. The Elmscan 5 works great with Torque PRO, but I opt'd for the OBDLink SX and noticed no difference, lol. To connect the USB cable to a tablet, you may need an OTG cable, but they are far from expensive and is not a problem with Torque Pro. TouchScan, Dash Command, OBDLink, they all would need the cable to connect to an OBD adapter.

Well come to find out the elm 327 adapter is de****tive so I have to warranty it. For windows programs, I pirated OBDAutoDoctor and it seems decent. Will find out more about it when I have a new adapter and will post to let you know how the software runs. BTW, that mini disk that comes with the adapter waaay out dated and it's a POS. Thanks for your help guys

It's hiliarous once it's witnessed in person.

You get so excited and it's not like it's toward anyone.. it's toward things like radiator caps..

Lol **** that cap. There was no need for it to be such a whore. Im getting pissed again thinking about it. Im not High octane racing anymore. Im High Strung
