well as i dismantle the top of my 2000 gtp i realized when i looked at the number 4 piston, something was wrong! i am expecting the bottom end to have spun a rod. i bought the car it was quiet, missed but still quiet. wont kno for sure until i get the bottom end torn apart. i am finding another engine and will be going thru the engine b4 it goes in the vehicle.

Alright!! I haven't seen that for almost a year. Last motor I pulled didn't even HAVE a piston :D

It looks to be more than just chipped. It may just be me, but I think it's a bit crooked in the cylinder.

This is where its at man!! :D

thanks all for the replies, yes the piston is in there crooked and it does not go up and down when i roll the engine over and it does not move at all when i try to move it, it is pinned in there bad, i assume it broke a connecting rod, i do see a lil spot where it hit the valve. i drove this thing home 75 miles when i bought it and i never would have thunk it, lol. i did but it knowing it probobly needed an engine, and well it was well worth it, got a line on an engine for 300, so soon i will be tearing that 1 down b4 it goes in.
