K got a 99 gtp. Ive got the ac fully charged to specs. Compressor will come on but no lines in the engine compartment get cold. so i changed the orfice tube and drier. i charged the system once again and the same thing is still happening. any suggestions? Maybe a faulty compressor? it engages but weird because no lines get cold when the freon should be circulating. its almost like something is clogged or the compressor isnt pumping.

If the compressor were bad, then it will lock up thus eliminating your belt from the engine bay.

Are you sure that the clutch is kicking in? Do you hear the clutch click?
If there were a blockage, and enough pressure builds up in the system then there is a relief valve in the compressor that will blow off until the pressure goes below the limit.

Check and double check that you have the correct amount of freon in your system. If you have too much, it won't cool.

Do you have access to a gauge set? That will tell you the story You need to know what low and high side pressures are doing. Even with really low freon levels you should still feel a pipe getting cold or see some condensation building up on the accumulator. Did you see any fine metal fragments in the old orfice tube? If the compressor is kicking on ok then there is enough freon in the system to allow it to turn on, but that doesnt mean that the pressures are where they need to be. A gauge again is really the only way to know for sure what is going on. If you can get ahold of a gauge set, hook it up and post back the low and high side numbers after the compressor is engaged.
